

Figure 1 is the ground floor layout we wish to extend, we therefore are require to show what alterations we intend to do and more importantly where we intend to remove load bearing walls. We also need to show how we intend to construct the foundations, floor support and roof design. For the purpose of showing this we will limit this to the plan views and a section of that plan.

Figure 2 shows the intended extension and the lines marked in red show where the walls will be removed and replaced with steel beams to support the upper walls of the existing house. These beams will require engineering calculations to be done and so in the engineering section we have shown what is required for that.

Figure 3 shows the sort of information you require for building regulations, and would be accompanied with the specification for foundation depths, floor structure, timber sizes, types and thicknesses of insulation and considerably more structural information.
